  • How does this blog work?
    • Everything blue is in English and everything green is in Portuguese. Colors are only used when both languages are present in the same section/page/post. First English and then Portuguese. After that it keeps alternating, like the questions and answers in this FAQ.
  • Como que esse blog funciona?
    • Tudo em azul está em Inglês e tudo em verde está em Português. As cores são usadas apenas quando ambas as línguas estão presentes na mesma seção/página/post. Primeiro Inglês depois Português. Depois disso as línguas alternam, como as perguntas e respostas nesse FAQ.
  • What’s the point of this blog?
    • To keep a record and expose my works, in any format, to whoever has interest. To manifest my thoughts and interests to a wider audience. Check About/Sobre page for a brief explanation.
  • Qual o sentido desse blog?
    • Manter um histórico e expor as minhas obras, em qualquer formato, para quem tiver interesse. Manifestar meus pensamentos e interesses para um público maior. Confira a página About/Sobre para uma breve explicação.
  • This column on the right. How does it work?
    • It’s supposed to be self-explanatory. From top to bottom we’ve got the latest posts, a link to subscribe to the blog’s updates, the categories, the archive, and links I recommend.
  • Essa coluna na direita. Como que ela funciona?
    • Deveria ser auto-explicativo. De cima para baixo temos os posts mais recentes, um link para assinar as atualizações do blog, as categorias, o arquivo e “links” que eu recomendo.
  • And the menu displayed horizontally at the top?
    • From left to right you’ve got the blog homepage with posts, the About/Sobre page with a brief explanation on this blog, the Online Games page with info on how to play online with me (and others), and lastly this FAQ.
  • E a barra exibida horizontalmente na parte superior?
    • Da esquerda para direita temos a página inicial do blog com os posts, a página About/Sobre com uma breve explicação do blog, a página de Online Games com informação para jogar online comigo (e outros) e por último, esse FAQ.
  • Why a bilingual blog?
    • Because I have the habit of producing works in both languages and much of it is written. Choosing one language would eliminate a great deal of what is exhibited here. Besides, this way more people can understand.
  • Por que um blog bilíngüe?
    • Porque eu costumo produzir obras em todas as duas línguas e muito do que eu produzo é escrito. Escolher uma língua só eliminaria boa parte do que está exposto aqui. Além disso, assim mais pessoas poderão entender.
  • Do you need help translating?
    • No, but I’ll take that offer. I speak/write both languages fluently and have no problem translating, but I’d rather create original material, each in its own language. For that matter, the blog content differs, because I prefer make something different, instead of simply converting something existent to another language. If you have the good will in you and feel like translating any of my works, feel free, the Creative Commons license allows that. Contact me and I’ll gladly upload the translation with proper credits.
  • Você precisa de ajuda na tradução?
    • Não, mas eu aceito. Eu falo/escrevo ambas as línguas fluentemente e não tenho problemas com tradução, mas eu prefiro criar conteúdo original, na sua própria língua. Significa dizer que o material do blog varia com base na língua porque eu opto por fazer algo novo em vez de simplesmente converter algo já existente para outra língua. Se você tem a boa vontade e quer traduzir qualquer uma das minhas obras, sinta-se a vontade, a licença Creative Commons já te permite isso. Entre em contato e eu certamente “postarei” a tradução no blog com os devidos créditos.
  • So you’re a Bard?
    • That’s just a fancy way of considering myself a storyteller. The important part of being one, though, is not limiting oneself to a specific format. I enjoy and have the habit of writing. Much – though far from all – of what I’ve written is in this blog, but by already having written (movie and play) scripts, editing videos, and making games; I am certain I am not stuck to one particular activity.
  • Então você é um Bardo?
    • Essa é só uma forma rebuscada de me identificar como um contador de histórias. A parte importante de ser um, no entanto, é não se limitar a um formato específico. Eu gosto e tenho o hábito de escrever. Muito – embora longe de ser tudo – que eu já escrevi está nesse blog, mas por já ter escrito roteiros (de cinema e peças), editado vídeos e feito jogos; eu tenho certeza que não estou preso a uma atividade específica.
  • What about professionally?
    • The Bard career isn’t as successful as it used to be in medieval times, but it has evolved. In hopes creating an interesting mixture, I am currently a law school student in pursuit of a game design & writing career.

    • A carreira do Bardo não é mais renomada como na época medieval, mas ela evoluiu. Com o objetivo de criar uma mistura interessante, eu sou atualmente um estudante de direito em busca de uma carreira como designer e roteirista de jogos eletrônicos (vulgo videogames).

    • No. Credit must be given to my friend and artist, Yuri Santos, for making real an idea I had in mind.

    • Não. Crédito deve ser dado ao meu amigo e artista, Yuri Santos, pela concretização de uma idéia que eu tinha em mente.
  • I don’t get it. Could you explain the logo?
    • There are many possible interpretations. What I did have in mind though was the idea of contrast. Contrast between the universes displayed on the image: the written page and the quill; and the bloody page and the gun. The clash between the Quill and the Gun represents the contrast between Storytelling and Conflict, Past and Present, Facts and Actions, Fiction and Reality; and Art and Life, respectively. All of the Quill’s elements contribute to the existence of elements associated with the Gun. As they oppose one another, they also complete each other, revealing that the book on which they stand is the result: art. Or life. Because one imitates the other and vice-versa.
  • Eu não entendi a imagem. Você pode explicar?
    • Existem várias interpretações possíveis, mas o que eu tinha em mente era a idéia de contraste. Contraste entre os universos exibidos visualmente: as páginas escritas e a pena; e a página com sangue e a arma. O confronto entre a Pena e a Arma representam o contraste entre o Contar de Histórias e o Conflito, Passado e Presente, Fatos e Ações, Ficção e Realidade; e Arte e Vida, respectivamente. Todos os elementos da Pena contribuem para a existência de elementos associados com a Arma. Assim como eles se opõe, também se completam, revelando que o livro no qual estão em cima é o resultado: arte. Ou vida. Porque um imita o outro e vice-versa.
  • How often should I check back for updates?
    • There’s no official interval for updates, though I try to post something at least every two weeks. Subscribing is wiser though, because that way you’ll be notified whenever there’s something new.
  • Com que freqüência eu devo verificar por atualizações?
    • Não há periodicidade oficial para atualizações, embora eu tente “postar” algo no mínimo a cada duas semanas. Assinar é mais inteligente, no entanto, porque assim você será avisado quando há algo novo.
  • Will the updates be of a specific category?
    • I can’t foretell what I’ll write about. Given the nature of my writings, I’d say there’s 50% chance it’s Gaming and 50% chance it’s Literature.
  • As atualizações serão de alguma categoria específica?
    • Eu não posso prever sobre o que irei escrever. Dada a natureza dos meus escritos, eu diria que há uma chance de 50% de ser sobre Games e outros 50% de ser Literatura.
  • Do you play or make games?
    • Both. I don’t think you can be a decent developer without first being a gamer. It’s like making movies and hating to watch them or writing without ever reading. To be involved and produce for a medium, one needs to embrace it. Therefore, I currently own the PS2, DS, Xbox 360, and PC. :)
  • Você joga ou faz jogos?
    • Ambos. Eu não acho que você possa ser um desenvolvedor decente sem antes ser um jogador. É como fazer filmes e não vê-los ou escrever sem ler. Para estar envolvido e produzir para uma mídia, é necessário abraçá-la. Por isso, eu atualmente possuo o PS2, DS, Xbox 360 e PC. :)

  • I am a writer/artist and would like to create something based on your works. May I?
    • Legally? Yes, as long as it’s not for commercial purposes, the Creative Commons License gives you the right of not needing to consult me beforehand. Nevertheless, I would appreciate it. I’m always interested in projects (graphic novels, games, movies etc), even more based on what I create.
  • Eu sou um escritor/artista e quero criar algo com base nas suas obras. Posso?
    • Legalmente? Sim, desde que não seja para fins comerciais, a Licença Creative Commons te dá o direito de não precisar me consultar. Ainda assim, eu agradeceria se você o fizesse. Estou sempre interessado em projetos (HQs, jogos, filmes etc), ainda mais quando baseados em algo que eu criei.

    • Why not? Contact me and we can always work something out. I’m always interested in hearing what topics appeal more than others and what people want to read.
  • Você poderia escrever sobre algo para mim?
    • Por que não? Entre em contato comigo e nós poderemos pensar em algo. Estou sempre interessado em ouvir quais tópicos interessam mais que outros e o que as pessoas querem ler.
  • I absolutely have to get in touch with you about this extremely important and secretive subject. How do I do that?
    • Unless you plan on sending me a virus, contact me. For whatever reason, just contact me via the email provided on the About/Sobre page. It won’t hurt. Not online anyway.

    • Truth be told…these are not frequently asked questions. In fact, they’ve never been asked before, but I tried to anticipate whatever you could ask me. If it didn’t work, understand I’m no fortune teller and that I’ll gladly add your question to this list. Let me know.
  • Como que você arrumou todas essas perguntas para o FAQ?
    • Verdade seja dita…essas não são perguntas freqüentemente feitas. Aliás, elas nunca foram perguntadas antes, mas eu tentei antecipar qualquer coisa que pudessem me perguntar. Se não funcionou, entenda que eu não sou vidente e por esse motivo eu aceito sugestões de perguntas para serem adicionadas.
